what we do
Continence Assessment
It all starts with a thorough continence assessment from an accredited Continence Nurse Adviser – a registered nurse who has undertaken specialist continence training.
Management Plans
Often simple strategies can resolve and improve bladder or bowel problems. A management plan will be provided by AABBS, which typically includes behavioural strategies, or review/recommending medications that may be of help to you.
Government Subsidies
You may be entitled to a NSW or Commonwealth Government financial grant to help pay for continence aids. We can assist you to access and complete these government subsidy applications, such as ENABLE CAPS and NDIS continence aids prescriptions.
Is a bladder or bowel problem or leakage ruling your life?
At AABBS, we recognise that a bladder or bowel leakage problem can feel embarrassing, devastating and sometimes like it’s ruling your life.
Our aim is to improve your quality of life and if possible, return control to those struggling with bladder and bowel problems.
Continence Aids Selection Advice
We can advise you of the most appropriate incontinence aids if necessary and assist you to source them.
Aids we can provide advice on include:
- Disposable continence pads
- Reusable continence pads
- Catheters
- Intermittent self-catheters
- Penile sheaths
- Leg bags and overnight drainage bags
- Bowel irrigation.
